About Us

Clan MacNeil in Canada started in 1975, with founding president Andrew McNeill, with the goal of uniting Clan MacNeil members, and, in his own words from the inaugural November 1975 news letter, where members can "find a sense of identity, a source of friendship and an enjoyment of their common cultural heritage. As well as all these things, it must be fun, both for the leaders and the members". Since then, Clan MacNeil in Canada has expanded throughout Canada especially Cape Breton and Ontario, as well as members in the USA. Andrew's aim to spread Clan MacNeil from Sea to Sea is underway, both with our new virtual events, our newsletter and representation at Highland Games and other events.
